Positive learning attitude is the basis and starting point of students' overall development,which has an important impact on students' learning outcomes.There are many low achievers in China' schools,but some rural schools only pursue enrollment rate and neglect the cultivation and education of low achievers' learning attitude.Focusing on the current state and differences of English low achievers' learning attitudes makes teachers teach them in accordance with their individuality.Learning attitude is divided into three dimensions: cognition,emotion and behavioral intentions.Questionnaire survey and interview method are used in this study,which aims to explore the current state of low achievers' learning attitude and whether there is a difference between gender and grade.Findings indicates that: 1.The learning attitude of low achievers in English learning is not very positive,especially in the curiosity of English learning,the initiative and planning performance in learning.2.As for gender,both male and female low achievers are more concerned about English exams,but they lack initiative in English learning.The attitudes of these students are different in emotional and behavioral intentions.Female students' learning attitude is better than that of male students,especially in aspects of emotion,the planning of learning,the performance of overcoming difficulties and resisting interference.3.The learning attitudes of low achievers with different grades are different.The learning attitude of the first-year students is better in emotional and behavioral intentions,the third-year students' learning attitude is more positive in cognitional dimension,while the second-year students' learning attitude is the worst in these three dimensions.Based on these findings,implications for teachers,students and parents were given to help these students have a more active learning attitude.
