Bob.Dylan is an outstanding artist in American culture.He is a successful popular musician and respected poet.His heart is as enigmatic as his poetry.He won the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature,so scholars around the world began to study his art.Scholars have different perspectives in understanding his poems.This article chooses the perspective of the relationship between religion and art.It will help academics understand Bob Dylan's mysterious art world..The formation of Dylan's view of religion began to the culture of American history.From the 20 th century American social culture and Bob.Dylan's background of his growth,we can show the formation and core of his religious view.And through the Bob Dylan's complex religious pursuit the spiritual essence of his poetic art.Finally it will show a picture of the religious world in Dylan's poetry,and through the poetic text analysis to reveal Bob Dylan's poetic aesthetics under the influence of religious views.This article is divided into five parts.Introduction start to Bob.Dylan's life and creation.It summarizes the domestic and foreign Bob.Dylan's research,and explains the article's angle,reason and significance.In the introduction,I think that it is a good way to study the connection between Dylan's view of religion and his poetry creation.The study of this angle can open the door of Bob Dylan's art world.The first chapter is mainly about the formation and characteristics of Bob Dylan's religious thought.Bob Dylan lived in an era of unease,and various social trends of thought emerged.In such a unique era,Protestantism,Catholicism,Judaism and Oriental religious cultures blend together.Meanwhile,Bob.Dylan himself grew up in a family of religious piety.Bob Dylan lived in an era when religious cultures intermingled with political unrest and grew up in a family full of Jewish piety.These causes made Bob Dylan formed a complex and contradictory view of religion.The second chapter mainly studies Bob Dylan's religious pursuit in different periods and the spiritual essence of his poetry.Under the influence of his lover Susie in the early days,he started the left-leaning red period and covered up his religious consciousness.In the mid-term Bob Dylan regained his faith in Judaism because of the death of his father.Later Bob Dylan's "rebirth" in the Christian world in the late 1970 s.In the process of change of religious belief,Bob Dylan never give up try to integrate religion into art and reveal reality and reflect on life.So at the end of this chapter,we point out that his complicated religious pursuit and the spiritual essence of his poetry creation are revolted against all injustices with art and constructed his ideal paradise belonging to human beings.The third chapter mainly analyzes the religious culture in Bob Dylan's poems.This chapter is intended to show the religious elements of Bob Dylan's poetry.His poetry consists of four main elements: nature and mystery;death and eternity;destruction and redemption;biblical stories.These four elements can show the imagery,metaphor,reality and fantasy of Bob Dylan's poetic world.The religious picture presented in this chapter revolves around the spiritual essence of his artistic creation revealed at the end of the second chapter.His poetry which writing a dark side to warn the world and resisting injustice can build a man's paradise.In spite of the fact that some poems are a little negative,we can understand that the ultimate purpose of poetry is to care for human in his environment.The fourth chapter mainly reveals the mysterious,scary and noble aesthetic characteristics of Bob Dylan's poems under the influence of his religious views.It also points out that Bob Dylan's religious belief gives him a unique charm in his poetry and makes his poetry unspeakable beauty.Finally,in the conclusion,the article points out that Bob Dylan's art world is never divorced from reality and humanity.He combines social reality,religious beliefs,and human ideals into a paradise that sparkles with the glory of human nature.At the same time,no matter what kind of religious and cultural influence in his artistic creation career,he can bear in mind the people,and blend the religious image with the times and life in poetry with superb artistic techniques,which has a profound enlightenment to the relevant artists in our country.
