The concept of building a community of shared future for mankind put forward by general secretary Xi Jinping has been widely accepted by the international community.As the most widely used language in the world,English is used as a medium of communication in many important international occasions.Proficiency in and use of English is increasingly becoming a necessary ability for everyone.As a non-native language discipline,English is bound to be disturbed by Chinese language culture in the process of learning and using.Culture is the soil of language and language is the carrier of culture.Learning a language,if you do not understand the culture behind it,the language learning,will be boring and pale.Therefore,language learning is inseparable from cultural learning.As the initial stage of English education,compulsory education is the basic stage of cultivating students' interest and habit in English learning.Therefore,it is necessary to combine China's education and teaching practice,take quality education as the goal,deepen the classroom teaching reform,gradually abandon the exam-oriented education mode,cultivate students' comprehensive application ability,and explore a set of teaching mode in line with the law of language learning.Based on this,this paper starts from the current situation of cross-cultural awareness cultivation in primary school English teaching,discusses the beneficial experience and existing deficiencies in primary school English teaching since the implementation of the new curriculum standard,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures according to the teaching practice.This study takes primary school students,English teachers and English textbooks of two primary schools in L city as the research objects,and adopts questionnaire survey,interview and text analysis method to study the current situation and problems of cross-cultural awareness cultivation in primary school English teaching.The comprehensive analysis shows that the primary school students have the problem of insufficient cross-cultural awareness of English,the primary school English teachers ignore the cultivation of cross-cultural awareness in teaching and their own low cultural literacy,the primary school English textbooks have the problem of unreasonable arrangement of English cultural content and the cultural teaching evaluation has the problem of imperfection.The research finds that there are many reasons leading to the problems in the cultivation of cross-cultural awareness in primary school English teaching.To this end,the author puts forward the following Suggestions.First,cultivate the students' intercultural learning autonomy;Second,pay attention to the new trend of education development and improve teachers' English cultural literacy;Third,change the teaching idea,innovate the cultural teaching method;Fourth,the docking culture teaching,the science arranges the textbook;Fifth,improve the evaluation of cultural teaching and improve the quality of cultural teaching.
