The purpose of this study is mainly two aspects: first,how to apply mind mapping to the teaching of English vocabulary in senior high school;Second,inquiry the effect of applying mind map to vocabulary teaching.This study attempts to explore whether mind map,as a learning tool,can facilitate vocabulary teaching when integrating it into vocabulary teaching in senior grades of primary schools.In this study,two parallel classes in grade 6 of S primary school in Huai 'an city were selected as samples.Class 6(2)was taken as the experimental class and class 6(1)as the control class.The two classes were of the same size and the English vocabulary level was roughly equal.The study period was one semester.This study uses a variety of methods,such as literature review,questionnaire survey,interview and teaching experiment,to collect data related to this study and to try to carry triangular argument.In this study,the data of English pre-test,questionnaire survey,interview and interview were analyzed by word and excel.Finally,the results of this study showed that the combination of mind map and primary school English vocabulary teaching could help students remember words,stimulate students' interest in vocabulary learning,promote students' vocabulary learning,and extend the channels for students to learn English words.If we want to further promote English vocabulary teaching in primary schools,we need to expand the sample to carry out more confirmatory studies.
