The mentality of intellectuals has always been valued by scholar and has become a way to understand the political,economic,cultural,military and many other aspects of the country in a particular historical period.As an important poet in the historical turning period of the Tang Dynasty,MengJiao’s personal mentality has a strong sense of commoners and under the influences of many factors,formed a unique personality of MengJiao.The author intends to take the social change from Tianbao to Zhenyuan as the research background to explore the change of MengJiao’s mentality,and then analyze the influence of mentality change on poetry creation.The first chapter of this article will start with the performance of intellectuals mentality in the historical turning period of Tang Dynasty,and then lay the foundation for the commoner consciousness’ s awakening later.Chapter two explore the changes of the commoners’ mentality and poetry creation,represented by MengJiao during the period of dynasties change.Chapter three explore MengJiao and intellectuals’ cultural psychology from the perspectives of Confucianism,Buddhism,Taoism and Mohism,and elaborates the psychological expression under the four thoughts.Chapter four is devoted to discussing the painful struggle caused by secular utilitarianism,which reveals MengJiao’s complex and ambivalence through his life track.Finally,From MengJiao’s mentality extends to the whole creative process of Han Meng’s poetry school.It summarizes its ideas,poetry style and represents the spirit of that times,and set up a bridge between MengJiao’s poetry school and Han Meng’s poetry school and the society of the Middle Tang Dynasty.The article mainly focuses on personality studies,examining the relationship between MengJiao’s mentality and his poetry,and comprehensively understanding the important value of literati’s mentality in the study of literary history during the history turning point.It is hoped that MengJiao’s significance and value in the literaturehistory of Tang Dynasty can be brought into full play through the new perspective of mentality research. |
