According to “Special Education Promotion Programme II(2017-2020)”,we will strengthening vocational education and promote the Teaching Reform of Special Education Curriculum Vigorously relying on existing resources for special and vocational education which means the country will strive to develop secondary special education.” Foreign language was listed as one of the elective courses in“Experimental Program for Curriculum setup of compulsory Education in Hearing impairment Schools "issued by the Ministry of Education in 2007.In recent years,some colleges and universities in China have begun to recruit hearing impairment students and increased English examination with the emphasis on special educations that more and more special schools have set up English courses.Limited by the physiological characteristics of hearing impairment students,the textbooks in general school are not suitable and cannot meet the needs of the students.At present,there is no unified English curriculum standards and textbooks for hearing impairment students in China.The author has been engaged in English teaching for hearing impairment students in secondary vocational schools for more than ten years and understand the current situation and existing problems of students' learning deeply.Therefore,the author came up with the idea of compiling a set of textbooks suitable for hearing impairment students in secondary vocational schools,it is hoped that the study of English textbooks for hearing impairment students will contribute to the development of secondary vocational schools.This paper mainly studies the compilation of secondary vocational English textbooks for hearing impairment students.Based on the analysis of the current situation of the use of English teaching materials for hearing impairment students and their learning characteristics in secondary vocational schools,the author puts forward some ideas and strategies for compiling teaching materials according to several Curriculum Standards,design the teaching combined with the characteristics of the students and implement the research.Through the analysis of the trial situation oftextbooks,the author hopes to have more thoughts and suggestions on the compilation of textbooks so that they can be better used in practical teaching.This paper consists of the following parts: In the first chapter,Combined with the importance and particularity of special education and the predicament of the work,the author puts forward this study and expounds the research significance,research literature,research content,research object,research method and definition of related concepts.In the second chapter,the paper analyzes the basis of compiling English textbooks for hearing impairment students in secondary vocational school.In the third chapter,this paper explores the compilation of English textbooks for hearing impairment students in secondary vocational school.In the fourth chapter,the author gives feedback and evaluation on the compilation of textbooks combined with the practical study of textbooks.In the fifth chapter,the author reflects on the compilation of teaching materials and looks into the future.
