Study On Rhythm In Black And White Wood Carving

"Rhythm" is the sensation of reverie produced by different melodies in music.The use of rhythm in painting can also cause the subjective response of the viewer,make people imaginative and resonant."Rhythm" also has similar words such as "artistic conception" and "artistic rhyme" in the performance of the picture,but they also have different aspects.The former is more inclined to the expression of subjective consciousness,while the latter pays more attention to the response of subjective consciousness.The "rhythm" in prosody refers to "law" as a method of creating "rhyme".In this paper,how to enhance the "rhythm" in black and white woodcut is studied,trying to improve their artistic expression in black and white woodcut creation by creating the rhythm of the picture.This paper first discusses the concept of rhythm and its expression in painting,then analyses how printmakers embody rhythm in their works,and finally talks about my exploration of rhythm in black and white woodcut.The combing of rhythm makes me realize more clearly that rhythm can not only make the picture have a strong formal beauty,but also play a role in deepening the theme.At the same time,works with a sense of rhythm can often create a certain kind of interest and artistic conception beyond specific objects and images.It is hoped that through the study of the rhythm of black and white wood engraving,we can form our own creative style and create works with spiritual core.
