Characteristics And Evolution Of The Fabric Patterns From Primitive Society To Qin And Han Dynasties

As the evolution and sublimation of human decorative culture in ancient times,fabric patterns are closely related to the development of human civilization.Therefore,this paper conducts a special study on the fabric patterns from the primitive society to the Qin and Han Dynasties according to historical evolution,aiming to explore the relationship between the development of social politics,economy,culture and the evolution of decorative patterns.Firstly,the origin of the fabric patterns was analyzed.The functions such as representing witchcraft prayer,totem symbols and distinguishing social classes in the decorative patterns of early ancestors,as well as their relation with the theme of early Chinese traditional fabric patterns were discussed.According to the historical Dynasty order,and combining with the social development and textile production situation,the theme characteristics of fabric patterns were analyzed and classified.The relationship between the representative fabric patterns of Shang Dynasty,such as thunder pattern and animal-face pattern,and the witchcraft and totem was discussed.The relationship between twelve-chapter pattern of West Zhou Dynasty and Rites of Zhou was investigated.The battle of phoenix-dragon-tiger pattern,hunting pattern and the spirit of struggle and victory in the Spring-autumn and Warring States periods were studied.The internal relations between the cloud and character patterns and the themes of immortality and praising daily life in Han Dynasty was explained.The element and composition features of the fabric patterns were summarized according to the context of historical dynasties.The generalization ability and aesthetic standards of fabric patterns of the ancients in different historical periods were examined.The effect of the development of textile machinery on the composition characteristics was analyzed.The relationship between the evolution of the artistic features of fabric patterns and various expression means was summarized.Finally,the results were explored in practice through graduation design.It is expected that the excellent traditional fabric patterns can be expanded and extended,injecting the essence of traditional culture into contemporary textile design.
