The stylistic research on English novels is continuing to develop booming.Stylistics is a method of analyzing literary works in linguistics,so as to analyze the context more in detail, which makes readers understand the text of the novel better. The thesis states the views on style borrowed from literary stylistics as following. After the subjective analysis of the cultural accomplishment, motivations, social status and characters' personality of the main characters in the English novel, the different texts in the novel are extracted as contrast corpus and analyzed by stylistic factors. It confirms the interaction between non-verbal subjective forms of English novels, such as body language, para language, object language and environmental language.Based on the comparison and analysis of the non-verbal subjective factors from the four corpora: “Body language”,“Para-language”,”Object language” and “Environmental language”,and then use AntConc to generalize the data.Stylistics has traditionally focused on the formal attributes of style. On the face of it,adding cognitive non-verbal factors to stylistic analysis may indicate that people will adopt some simplified view of interpretation, emphasizing the process of the role that culture, language and style can play in the aesthetic production of literature.Taking Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray for an example,we collect the description of the non-verbal behaviors of the main characters in the novel with the beginning, development, climax and ending of the novel as the chronological order and establish the corpus respectively. This thesis proves the influence of non-verbal factors on stylistic features by using the online analysis tool of vocabulary difficulty in English discourse, that is,the interaction between non-verbal subjective factors and stylistic features is proved. This thesis aims to show how non-verbal factors actually enhance stylistic analysis. The thesis, taking The Picture of Dorian Gray for example, tries to analyze the texts of the novels from the perspective of the non-linguistic subjective factors in order to propose a new assumption in stylistic study. The purpose of this study is to analyze the similarities and differences of language in the use of non-verbal factors in character conversations, and to analyze the causes of the similarities and differences so as to promote a deep understanding of the work itself, and to further understand how the author can highlight the theme meaning and aesthetic effect through the non-verbal factors.Combining with the concrete examples to analyze and use more scientific analysis methods will provide the readers with evidence for a better understanding of the subject meaning and aesthetic effect of the writers,in order to deepen the understanding of the language art and improve the level of appreciation. This thesis combines subjective research with stylistic analysis in practice. And it offers a unique method, which provides reference value for the theory of non-verbal factors and the research of stylistics. And at the same time, the research is hoped to help the readers to have a better understanding of the writings of this kind.
