Application Of Wabisabi Aesthetics In Creation

Wabi-sabi aesthetics is from the Chinese Zen thought,which has the thought of Zen in pursuing the realization of the essence of things through the expression of things.It keeps removing the external grandeur of things and getting the balance between the heart and nature,to pursue constant changes in nature.When facing imperfect things,it advocates to be imperfect to retain,so that human and nature can influence each other.Wabi-sabi aesthetics has something in common with the traditional thought of "the unity of nature and man,forget all the things".Under the influence of this thought,the result of the perfect object will be single,clear,and some of the incomplete aesthetic has a missing image in fuzzy state.The incomplete can make people observe things themselves,not the perfection of things.This deformity can give the observer more space to think about things and more space to imagine.Celadon is a famous traditional porcelain which is painted with green glaze on embryo body and fired by reducing flame.It is an important carrier of ceramic culture in China.There are many kinds of celadon including Yaozhou Kiln,Longquan Kiln,Ru Kiln,Song Dynasty ODfficial Kiln,Yue Kiln of Tang Dynasty and so on.It can not only be classified according to the visual effects produced by the blue glaze color,but also carries the spirit of traditional culture and expresses the recognition of nature and heaven and earth in ancient times.Blue is the color of the sky,which is advocated and pursued by our people.At that time,people were influenced by the idea of "the unity of nature and human" in Taoist thought,which made cyan color highly respected by contemporary society.At the same time,blue also can be taken as a gentleman's color,and the way of celadon can also be taken as gentleman's doctrines.Blue in the chromatography is between the cold color and the warm color,so it also contains the meaning of the middle way.Wabi-sabi aesthetics was basically described in this paper and the traditions of the celadon were analyzed.And taking the celadon works as the basis,the creation process,forming mode,decoration process and display of celadon works were explained,in order to express the spirit of wabi-sabi aesthetics,and look for the extension of this spirit in the creation.The wabi-sabi aesthetics was analyzed in combination of the celadon of Longquan to make the celadon of Longquan preserved in the traditional aesthetics and acquired the sense of the times,so as to find innovation in traditional design and modern ideas.
