prostitutes are a special group in ancient Chinese history.Because of their low social status, their deeds have never been seen in the official history. However, their images are often written and processed by literati and appear in literary works.Ming Dynasty is the peak of the development of brothel culture in ancient Chinese history.During this period, the literati had a wide range of contacts with prostitutes, which also stimulated their creative desire. The style of ChuanQi with the nature of imaginative storyline and charactershas naturally become an important choice for them.Since the beginning of Tang Dynasty,ChuanQi have been widely spread among the literati and officials. The theme, thought and artistic style of a period's ChuanQi,to a certain extent, represent the moral and ethical concepts and aesthetic interest recognized by the literati circle of this era. Therefore, the way, content and effect of prostitutes'writing in the ChuanQi of Ming Dynasty also represent the attitude, evaluation and orientation of the literati towards prostitutes. This paper takes the prostitutes in the ChuanQi of Ming Dynasty as the research object.investigates the characteristics of this kind of images in the novel writing, and explains the social and cultural connotation, literature and aesthetic value. This paper is divided into four parts. In the first chapter, from the perspectives of direct description, language description and behavior description, the author analyzes the new features of the female prostitutes in the ChuanQi of Ming Dynasty. No matter how much attention is paid to the talent temperament,or the elegance of the language style and the introduction of the broad social background,to some extent, the female prostitutes in the ChuanQi of Ming Dynasty tend to be refined It can be seen that the literati in Ming Dynasty changed their aesthetic standards and orientation towards female prostitutes, that is,from pursuing the beauty to pursuing the fit of spirit. The second chapter focuses on the theme of the communication between the literati and prostitutes, and analyzes the characteristics and social connotation of the communication between the literati and prostitutes in the ChuanQi of Ming Dynasty. In the intercourse between the prostitutes, the female prostitutes often have the identity transformation from prostitute to wife.In the process of this transformation, the C huanQi of Ming Dynasty pay more attention to the content of the married life of the prostitutes, reflecting the attention of the literati of Ming Dynasty to the family ethics. In addition,no matter in the purpose of communication or the barriers encountered in the communication, the ChuanQi of Ming Dynasty embody the pursuit of interests in the writing of the communication between scholars and prostitutes, which can reflect the formation of the interest of the literati in Ming Dynasty. The third chapter analyzes the narrative function of female prostitutes in the ChuanQi of Ming Dynasty. When the image of a female prostitute appears as the main character,it is often regarded as the core and clue character of the text in terms of structure. The author designs suspense for the text through the image of a female prostitute. When the image of female prostitute appears as a supporting role,it can play a role in promoting the development of plot twists and turns and foiling the protagonist's image. The fourth chapter analyzes the aesthetic and social cultural connotations embodied in the female prostitute writing in the ChuanQi of the Ming Dynasty, including the shaping of tragic meaning and the reflection of literati ideas. In the description of the love tragedy of female prostitutes, the ChuanQi of Ming Dynasty often enhance the appeal of the tragedy by creating the huge contrast between the amorous and the merciless fate of female prostitutes, and the surrealism description of ghost's life. The main causes of the tragedy of the fate of female prostitutes are the oppression of the musician household system, the male's negative heart and the female prostitutes' weakness. The images of female prostitutes with different characters reflect the beauty of struggle, sadness and destruction when they resist the tragic fate. From the perspective of the literati concept reflected in the female prostitute writing, the literati in Ming Dynasty started from the two themes of emotion and reason, wrote and shaped a diversified image of female prostitutes, reflecting their different attitudes towards the female prostitute group or sympathy,or criticism,or propaganda,or Erotic Imagination. At the same time, when writing female prostitutes, the literati of Ming Dynasty considered the reality and ideality, reflected the reality of female prostitutes to a certain extent, and realized the moral education significance of literature. There are two academic values in the study of the prostitutes' writing in the ChuanQi of Ming Dynasty. One is to look at the prostitutes' image in the ChuanQi of Ming Dynasty as a whole, and compare it with the prostitutes' image in the ChuanQi of previous generations, then we can sort out and summarize their unique temper of times. The second is to change the inherent mode of character image research, from the perspective of writing,to explore the way, orientation, reason and social and cultural connotation of the literati writing prostitutes in Ming Dynasty.
