Research On Time Metaphor Through Spatial Words In Ukrainian And Chinese

Time and space are the two concepts that humans recognize.Almost all activities in our lives are related to time and space.In the Chinese spatial words system,“Qian,Hou,Shang and Xia” are four common spatial words that represent spatial meaning.During the process of speech,it is common for people to use them to express the meaning of time.This means that people have transferred time and space orientation words,that is,to carry out a metaphor.This thesis will compare and analyze the orientation metaphors and metaphorical ways of Chinese words expressing “Qian”,“Hou”,“Shang” and “Xia” position words and Ukrainian expression time words(prepositions,adverbs,adjectives,nouns).In order to find out the similarities and differences between them and try to explain the reasons for their similarities and differences.Therefore,in terms of theoretical significance,the thesis can be the basis for the comparison of orientation metaphors between the two languages.This thesis consists of four parts: the first chapter introduces the meaning of the topic,the research purpose,the research object,the research method,the source of the research,the research problems,the research summary,the development,and the theory and methods used in the research.The second chapter mainly studies the spatial and temporal metaphors in Ukrainian linguistics,and explains the specific details and characteristics of Ukrainian temporal and spatial metaphors.The third chapter explains the time expression of modern Chinese position words,the distribution of time expressions of position words,and the role of solving them.The fourth chapter compares time and space metaphors in Ukrainian and Chinese.According to the survey results,the fifth chapter analyzes the bias of the position words in the use of the table,finds out the main types of the positional errors and their causes,and proposes suggestions and learning suggestions for Ukrainian students.The sixth chapter proposes a learning strategy for Ukrainian students' Chinese position words.Explain the status quo of positional expression time teaching,adopting teaching method,teacher factor,position word training mode,and finally put forward some suggestions for improving teaching.
