Research On Liszt's Piano Arrangements From Wagner's Works

Franz Liszt is one of the most important representatives of piano music in the history of western music.He is also an important composer in the Romantic period,and the founder of the title symphony poem.His piano music is rich in texture and gorgeous in style,and only superb playing skills can do it.His piano works cover a wide range of genres,of which piano adaptations account for about half of all works,of which fifteen piano arrangements are adapted from Germany's most important opera composer Wagner.The creation of Richard Wagner was an irreplaceable peak in the opera field of German-Australian music during the Romantic period.His opera reform and his advocacy of "dominant motivation","endless melody","musical opera","overall artistic view" and other musical techniques and thoughts distinguished his opera completely from previous French and Italian operas,forming Deutsche Wagner's own opera style.In terms of music,Wagner's harmony and tonality foreshadow the arrival of atonal music in the 20 th century.In terms of ideological implication,Wagner's operas have strong philosophical,aesthetic and religious ideas,so their value is huge.This article is divided into three parts to analyze Liszt's piano arrangements adapted from Wagner's opera theme: The first part gives a general overview of Liszt's piano adaptations and the original Wagner operas;the second part is an adaptation of the early and mid-term operas of Wagner.Music analysis of piano adaptations;Part III analyzes piano arrangements of later operas from Wagner.Through the analysis of these piano arrangements,the author tries to have a deeper understanding of Liszt's piano music and Wagner's opera music,explore the value of this musical genre,and then explore the significance of genre conversion in Western music.
