The Practice And Reflection On Yangqin Commissioned Musical Works

The creation of early Yangqin music works was mostly done by Yangqin performers and professional teachers.With their love for the dulcimer,they adapted local folk songs or other instrumental music,and created a large number of well-structured,melodious and popular music,which greatly enriched the dulcimer music works.With the development of the dulcimer art,some professional composers began to be involved in the creation of dulcimer music.The creation of dulcimer music works has has become more vigorously because of the participation of professional composers.The creation of works by commissioned professional composers is a new trend in the development of modern dulcimer music.Most of them are commissioned by individuals or groups.The commissioning party will give the commissioned party a relatively clear explanation about form of music performance,music style or content,and request them to complete within the specified time,and will also pay a certain amount of compensation to the commissioned party.Since the reform and opening up,there have been many successful commissioned works in China.By combining traditional folk music with Western techniques,composers improved the quality of dulcimer music.Also,with the participation of performers,the music is more suitable for dulcimer performance.However,due to the rich variety of Chinese national instrumental music,most composers are not as familiar with the performance,phoneme,and performance techniques of many musical instruments as the instrumentalists.Therefore,they are prone to encounter some problems in the creation of commissioned works.This article takes the dulcimer duo "Dream to Loulan" as an example,through analyzing and thinking about the creation and practice of the dulcimer commissioned works,explores the advantages of the dulcimer and promotes the creation of dulcimer music works.The article is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is an overview of dulcimer music creation.It briefly combs and reviews the development history/vein of dulcimer music creation.The second chapter is to extract the successful experience from the creative background,creative technique and performance technique of " Dream to Loulan",and analyze the problems in the creation.In the third chapter,the author thinks deeply about the current status of the creation of dulcimer commissioned works,hoping to give some reference value for the creation and practice of commissioned musical works in the future,and to provide some ideas for the creation of contemporary musical works.
