The translation material is an excerpt from Reception Studies and Audiovisual Translation,of which the title is Multi-method research Reception in context.This translation material focuses on a variety of research methods of audiovisual translation and the challenges and benefits of these methods,such as questionnaires,focus groups and interviews,The translation report consists of four parts: translation task descriptions,process descriptions,case analysis,and summaries of the translation practice.The first part mainly describes the translation material which briefly introduces the translation material,the author of the material and the significance of the selected material.The second part mainly introduces the translation preparation,translation tools and the analysis of the material.The case analysis is the most important part of the translation report.The translator analyzes the problems encountered in the process of translation in terms of words,sentences and discourse,and explains them one by one in combination with translation practices.The translator analyzes the translation of adjectives and the noun phrase in terms of vocabularies.The translator discusses the translation of attributive clauses,loose sentences and passive sentences with respect to sentences.The translator analyzes the translation of substitutions and ellipsis from the perspective of discourses.The fourth part is the summery of the entire translation report.Based on the case analysis,the translator summarizes the corresponding translation methods and strategies that mainly include literal translation,adding translation,linear translation and reverse translation and the like to solve the problems encountered in the translation process.
