The nature of military deployment tasks is very special.Compared with the daily dispatching of troops and civilians stationed abroad, personnel participating military deployment will face a greater number of more complex stress factors.A large number of studies have shown that military deployment can have a lot of adverse effects on the mental health of mission personnel.Emotions are of great significance to mental health, and negative emotions are one of the most important risk factors for psychological disorders.Studying the emotional state, changing characteristics, and influencing factors of personnel during deployment is of great significance for improving the mental health of deployment personnel. In this study, the deployment personnel are our subjects, and their emotion change and mind wandering behaviors are tracked by empirical sampling and traditional psychological measurement methods. Our research comprised of three parts: The first part mainly studies the change of emotional state during deployment, and explores the change trend of emotional state with time and analysis of individual differences;the second part mainly studies the influential factors of emotional state during deployment, including the type of deployment tasks, demographic variables, personality factors, mind wandering and activity subjects are engaged;the third part mainly studies the relationship between emotional state and mental health during deployment, especially the effect of emotional state on symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder and quality of life. The research mainly uses multi-level linear models, latent category growth models and other methods to process the data. The results show that during the deployment, the emotional state of the deployment personnel generally continues to decline, and there are intra-day fluctuations. The emotional state in the afternoon and evening periods are significantly better than the emotional state in the morning and noon periods. There are large inter-individual differences in the emotional state of the subjects, and they are divided into 5 categories, which are named positive outlook group, positive outlook and stability group, positive outlook and sensitivity group, resilience group and low resilience group. The inter-individual differences in emotional state are affected by a variety of factors: in terms of the type of deployment task, people with more stress factors in the deployment task have a worse emotional state, and the emotional state decreases faster during deployment;in terms of personality factors,The lower the neuroticism, the higher the agreeableness and the higher the conscientiousness, the higher the score of the emotional state, the more agreeable and the more conscientious individuals are more likely to belong to the positive attitude group, and Individuals with a lower conscientiousness and a higher level of neuroticism are more likely to belong to the extremely low-toughness group. In terms of demographics, the age of the person will also affect the emotional state during deployment, and the older has a better the emotional state; In addition, mind wandering and activities also affect emotional state scores.Individuals who report negative mind wandering and engage in stronger task activities have lower emotional state scores in the same observation. The emotional state of the deployers can predict the level of mental health and quality of life during deployment to some extent.A better emotional state will lead to fewer PTSD symptoms and higher quality of life, which increases the alertness of PTSD symptoms Dimensional performance obviously.
