Jade ceremonial artifacts are imitations of jade weapons unearthed from large and medium-sized tombs or sacrifice pits.Although they have sharp edges,they have no traces of use and are not practical.They represent the identity and status of the owner of the tomb,and symbolize military power and Unity of status.Literature and archeological data indicate that jade ceremonial artifacts often appeared in tombs from the late Neolithic period to the Western Zhou Dynasty.The higher the tomb's status and power,the more jade ceremonial artifacts unearthed in the tomb.Therefore,it is particularly important to study the unearthed profile,use function,and combination evolution of jade ceremonial utensils.In the past,although some researches on this kind of utensils have been carried out in academic circles,most of them are limited to a certain kind of utensils or a specific era,lacking systemicity and integrity.Therefore,based on a comprehensive review of archeological data,this article systematically researches jade ceremonial artifacts unearthed from tombs from the late Neolithic to Western Zhou dynasties,with a view to clarifying the unearthed profile,type analysis,Use function and combination evolution.This article is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction.First,define the concepts of time and space involved in this article,and define the standards of jade ceremonial artifacts.Second,make a detailed review of previous research in academia,and point out the current research status and shortcomings of ceremonial jade wares Place.On this basis,the research purpose,research significance,and research methods used in the research are put forward.The second part combs in detail the relevant archaeological discoveries of jade ceremonial objects unearthed in the tombs from the late Neolithic period to the Western Zhou Dynasty,and carries out the classification and stage study.The third part mainly researches the use function of jade ceremonial ceremonial utensils.Firstly,it studies the tomb scale of the jade ceremonial ceremonial utensils unearthed.In medium-sized tombs,the tomb owner is a leader and a figure of the "king" level or a prominent nobleman with military power.Secondly,he studies the unearthed position of jade ceremonial objects in the tomb,and concludes that the jade ceremonial objects are Intentionally placed on the body of the tomb master,around the body,or in the coffin with other copper weapons,placed separately from pottery and bronze wares.Combined with archaeological data and literature records,it is concluded that the jade ceremonial weapon is an important symbol of military command and power,and an important scepter for expropriation.It has gradually become a symbol of royal power since the late Neolithic period.The fourth part mainly researches the combined form of jade ceremonial utensils.Based on the research on the origin,development,peak and decline of jade ceremonial utensils,it is concluded that the stone urns and stone knives unearthed from the Beiyingyangying Cultural Cemetery It is the origin of jade ceremonial utensils;the late and late Neolithic period is the development period of jade ceremonial utensils.Not only the number of unearthed jade urns and jade swords increased,but also a new combination form;jade in the summer and Shang dynasties In addition to Shan Ge,Shan Qi,and Shan Xi,there are 10 combinations of the development of quality ceremonial utensils,especially 39 jade stones,9 jade stones,and 2 jade stones unearthed from the Fuhao Tomb of the Late Shang Dynasty,1 jade sword and 3 jade spears are the most complete and most complete tombs unearthed from the late Neolithic period to the Western Zhou Dynasty.In the Western Zhou Dynasty,with the emergence of bronze weapons,jade ceremonial wares gradually declined,the combination form decreased,the size of Yu Ge gradually decreased,and some became accessories.The fifth part is the conclusion.This article mainly summarizes the research content of this paper and points out the deficiencies in the research process of this paper.
