Application And Research Of Blank Drawing Technology In Sculpture Creation

Since the primitive society,man had been able to shape and bake soil to make pottery.As time goes by,the ceramic making process becomes more and more exquisite,which develops from hand-making,mold making,wheel making,to modern comprehensive making.The Wheeling making process,which is also called clay molding,occupies an extremely important position in the ceramic making process.The clay molding process adopts the principle of centrifugal force.Through the rotation of the wheel,the inside and outside hands work together to make a regular shape.This molding method has gradually become one of the most important methods in the production of ceramics which also has made the shape of ceramics more and more regular,and the product scale expanding continuously.In the modern art,the Wheeling making not only has a very important place in the creation of ceramic art,but also in the realm of sculpture,even in public art and in installation plastic art.With the rise of the "Modern Ceramics" Movement in the 1950 s,there is a group of artists who have made breakthrough innovations based on traditional craftsmanship.They are no longer confined to the single art field of ceramics,but to integrate and innovate experiments on ceramic technology in the entire modern art field.They use the language of ceramic to create sculpture,to show the collision of mud and fire which is regarded as the unique art that ceramics has.After 1980 s,Chinese modern art was influenced by art globalization,and started a climax of recreating traditional craft.Great changes have also occurred in ceramics which is regarded as the representative of Chinese traditional art.This thesis analyzes the clay molding's development,shaping and decoration by combing its historical background then discusses the application of ceramic drawing blank technology in modern sculpture creation.Starting from the collation and classification of material languages in modern sculpture creation,analyzing she visual feelings of different materials in it then completing the process of application of ceramic drawing blank technology in the creation of sculpture.The research methods mainly include collecting domestic and foreign artist's work that are based on the way of ceramic drawing blank technology,then analyzing and summarizing the connotation and artistic characteristics in the work.A practical attempt will be made to combine the abstract expression and bionic expression of the clay molding sculpture.Furthermore,the creative combination of clay molding and sculpture will provide an innovative reference to domestic and foreign ceramic and sculpture artists and enthusiasts.
