The Development And Prospect Research Of Christian Social Services In China

The social transformation in the new era not only promotes economic development and social progress,but also highlights social problems such as old-age care,medical care,environmental pollution and other problems.People's growing need for a better life and the growing demand for social services put forward urgent demands and development space for non-governmental social services.As an important part of social services,the development of religious social services is more realistic.Since the reform and opening up,especially since the six ministries and commissions issued the document,the support of the party,the government and the implementation of religious policies have made the religious social services develop continuously,which has played a positive role in the social field.During this period,the change of the relationship between Christianity and Chinese society makes the research of Christian social service more and more important.Adhering to the doctrinal belief of "Serving the society,Benefit the people",Christian social services play an important role in the fields of medical care,old-age care,disability rehabilitation,community construction and development that pay attention to individual and social needs.On the basis of literature review and interviews with several Christian social service organizations,this paper summarizes several characteristics(or advantages)of Christian social service participation,which mainly shows that as a faith-based social activity,Christianity pays more attention to the overall service of body and mind,and constantly seeks the balance between religious service methods and professional service methods,so it also has a high experience economic and social contribution and resource integration ability.Since the new era,through the three main stages of development,its service areas and models,service methods and forms,as well as service motivation and concept dimensions,respectively,show the inheritance and innovation,specialization and more in line with social needs.However,from the perspective of field interviews,there are also many problems in Christian social services.In view of these problems,this paper also puts forward constructive suggestions from multiple perspectives,such as providing more social services to meet social needs,paying attention to professional services,strengthening norms and highlighting featured services.In order to provide a reference for the continuous improvement and positive role of Christian social services,especially at the service level.
