Anton Pavlovich Chekhov si a famous critical realistic novelist and dramatist in19th century Russia,Chekhov's works not only expose the ugly phenomenon of the society,but also have a profound ecological consciousness.As Chekhov's representative works,Such as The Prairie,Uncle Vanya and The Cherry Orchard,contain his thoughts on human destiny and its relationship between man and nature and society,and profoundly reflect his unique understanding of the dual ecological view of nature and spirit.This paper is divided into three parts.The first chapter is the first part,combining Chekhov's unique living environment,historical background and personal growth experience,as well as the social background of Russia and the Enlightenment thought of France,to explore the causes of Chekhov's ecological consciousness.The second part is the core of the thesis,which is divided into chapter two and chapter three.Through the text analysis of Chekhov's works,this paper systematically expounds Chekhov's ecological consciousness from the perspectives of ecological holism,the relationship between man and nature,and the relationship between man and life.The fourth chapter is the third part,mainly discusses the practical significance of Chekhov's ecological consciousness in his works,including the impact on modern people's lifestyle and the enlightenment of today's China's development.In this paper,combining with the theory of ecological criticism and literature,to explore the ecological consciousness of Chekhov part work,the purpose is to guide people to rethink the relationship between human and nature,enhance the consciousness of people to protect the ecological environment,make people in the modern civilization and build a harmonious coexistence relationship between natural civilization,which makes the human to live better.
