Individuals with trait anxiety are often more sensitive to negative information and threat information due to their own personality traits, and there are attention bias and memory bias to negative threat information, resulting in the impairment of inhibition function of the central executive system and difficulty in forgetting negative information. In order to define the trait anxiety under different sensory channel damage memory suppression function neural mechanism, through the two studies, this study selected the high and low trait anxiety as the subjects, neutral and negative emotional words as experimental material, adopted deliberately forgotten TNT paradigm, using the event related potential(ERP)technology to further explore the trait anxiety in the visual and auditory channel behavior characteristics and deliberately forgotten brain characteristics. In the first study, the characteristics of negative information intentional forgetting in individuals with high and low trait anxiety were discussed under the visual channel. The behavioral results showed that the recall accuracy of the high trait anxiety group was significantly higher than that of the low trait anxiety group, and the recall accuracy of the negative words in the high trait anxiety group was significantly higher than that of the low trait anxiety group. The ERP results showed that compared with the low-trait anxiety group, the subjects in the high-trait anxiety group produced a larger N1 amplitude in the negative word pairs, and the low-trait focus group had a larger amplitude margin in the component P2 than the high-trait focus group, which induced a smaller P2 amplitude and a more negative N2 amplitude in the low-trait anxiety group under the condition of no inhibition. In study 2,the characteristics of the negative information intentionally forgotten in the high and low trait anxiety groups were discussed under the auditory channel. The behavioral results showed that neither the low trait anxiety group nor the high trait anxiety group showed intentional forgetting.Compared with the low trait anxiety group, the high trait anxiety group recalled more negative material. The ERP results showed that there was no difference between the two groups in the former components N1 and P2,but in the negative components N2,the high trait anxiety group induced a larger amplitude than the low trait anxiety group.First, under the visual channel, the group with high trait anxiety had difficulty in inhibiting memory.Second, under the visual channel, the group with high trait anxiety has the advantages in extracting and inhibiting the negative information.Third, under the visual channel, the high trait anxiety group paid more attention to negative words in the primary perception stage and invested more resources in the inhibition and control stage, indicating that the inhibitory and control mechanism efficiency of the high trait anxiety group was lower than that of the low trait anxiety group.Fourth, under the auditory channel, there was no difference in memory inhibition between the high and low trait anxiety groups.Fifth,in the auditory channel, high trait anxiety has an advantage in extracting negative information.
