The Snow was written by the famous British composer Edward Elgar and,which is also a classic choral work of the Romantic period.When It has been created,it has been sung by many excellent choirs at home and abroad.In China,the work has been promoted by Mr.Ma Geshun,and has become the current choral masterpiece.“Snow Spirit” contained in the works is kind,tenacious,and selfless,and it is also a philosophy of life.This work is one of my favorite works during the master's degree study period.At the same time,for the conductors,it is also a necessary learning material for the commander of the field.The purpose of this article is to discover the artistic treatment of this piece and the theoretical source of each treatment,from different perspectives,starting from the work itself,and specifically exploring the commanding techniques of The Snow.
