Teacher’s ICT teaching ability is a very important part of the Era of Education Informatization 2.0,and the elementary education’s teacher’s ICT ability is the foundation of our country’s Education Informatization.I developed survey questionnaire to investigate the current status of the middle school English teacher’s ICT ability for teaching.Sixty-three teachers from Five middle schools in Fengzhen participated in the study.Data analysis showed that:most of the middle school English teachers has the understanding of using ICT in teaching,but their abilities of using ICT are quite different.They lacked the.ability to use the ICT to organize and control the class,the need to keep on learning about that.Significant difference were found on some measurements among different groups of gender,and different groups of school types and different groups of education.Therefore,I proposes strategies to enhance middle school English teachers’ICT ability for teaching at two levels:the individual teacher,the environment,and hope to stimulate the teachers’ ICT ability of teaching.
