On The Inner Tension Of Zhou Zuoren's Prose

As an important creator and advocate of the modern Chinese prose,Zhou Zuoren had made important contributions to modern Chinese literature with his distinctive prose creation and unique literary theory.Zhou Zuoren was not only well knowledgeable in classical culture,but also versed in literature and art between eastern and western,In his life,to be a traitor or a hermit is a sharp contradiction which he had been facing.Therefore,behind the prose style of "gentle plain" and "impetuous sharp",there is much tension and intermingling which is caused by the conflict of the east and west,traditional and modern,the positive and negative thought and so on.The purpose of this article is to explore the existence form and aesthetic characteristics of tension in Zhou Zuoren's prose.Through a close reading of Zhou Zuoren's prose,this article will study the principal manifestation,revealing the important role of "reconciliation" in the formation of tension and trying to find the influence of tension on aesthetic value of prose.The paper consists of three parts,which are introduction,text and conclusion.The main part of the paper is text that is divided into three chapters.The introduction of this paper focuses on the significance of the topic,the research status and methods to be adopted.The first chapter analyzes the main manifestation of the inner tensions in Zhou Zuoren's prose.In the ideological and emotional world of Zhou Zuoren,there are much contradictory and unified factors that conflict against each other.As the externalization of personality,Zhou Zuoren's prose filled with multi-level aesthetic characteristics in terms of ideology,emotional level and artistic forms,creating a very aesthetic nature of being full of tensions between meaning and form.As a result,the tensile structures from deep attitude to external form made Zhou Zuoren's prose get a rich expatiating and aesthetic space.The second chapter aims to study the function of the "reconciliation" that's an aesthetic principle in the formation of tension in Zhou Zuoren's prose.Zhou Zuoren often used the methods of reconciliation in his life and literature,So that he can reach the doctrine mean because it was his ideals and way of thinking.In his prose creation,Zhou Zuoren always upheld the doctrine mean to made up for the gap between sense and sensibility with humanistic feelings and physics,and eased the violent mood swings with freedom and abstinence.By analyzing the role of reconciliation as the main line,we can enjoy the inner tensions and the style of gentleness and sincerityThe third chapter mainly discusses the influence of inner tensions on the aesthetic value of Zhou Zuoren's prose.Zhou Zuoren's prose is full of bitterness because of the tension and conflict between individuals thinking and the choice of his path,and it has much interest due to the avoidance of conflict in real life and his special care of the humanistic feelings and physics.At the same time,Zhou Zuoren's prose reconcile the relationship between subject and object due to his aesthetic consciousness and the reconciliation of inner tensions.It has reached unity in the interaction of life,nature and society,and got a perfect combination of self-life tension and artistic tension.By virtue of his unique aesthetic taste,Zhou Zuoren showed a certain artistic tension and aesthetic integrity in his prose,and set a classic paradigm for modern Chinese prose.The conclusion part summarizes the paper and briefly expresses some prospects for Zhou Zuoren's prose research.
