As an important resource in teaching,the importance of teaching materials is self-evident.At this circumstance,the traditional "universality" textbook is unable to satisfy foreign learners' needs,so the "localized" textbook has become a new trend in textbook writing.However,the quantity and quality of existing localized textbooks are far from sufficient.Therefore,it is urgent to redact a kind of high-quality Thailand localized textbook.Tiantian Chinese is a set of localized Chinese textbooks especially designed for middle school students in Thailand.Based on Thai Chinese Teaching Standards for Middle Schools,combining modern foreign language teaching concepts and the actual situation in Thailand,the system is based on the clues of communicative function,language structure and cultural content Designed and closely integrate with the new Chinese proficiency test.Taking the localized Chinese textbook named Tiantian Chinese,co-edited by Chinese and Thailand as an example,in combination with the author's own nine-month teaching experience.This paper analyzes the localization factors of the four textbooks from two aspects: the content of the textbooks and the arrangement of the textbooks.It is found that the localization characteristics in the textbook content are mainly reflected in adding localized vocabulary,the fitting of text scenes to the Thai life,and the grammatical compilation in line with Thai middle school students.In the textbook layout are mainly reflected in the teaching principles in line with the characteristics and needs of Thai education,designing the curriculum capacity according to the class schedule of Thai middle schools,most of hands-on and music-based activities during the practice,the book binding with Thai characteristics and using Thai as a comment language in whole book.Through the questionnaire,some suggestions are provided for localized textbook from compiling Chinese ontology knowledge,perfecting teaching facilities,quantitative assessment based on the local characteristics,teaching contents design according to Thailand teaching class and the relationship between the universality and localization.The compilation of localized textbooks has always been a difficult problem.I hope that more excellent localized textbooks will be published in the future and this paper can be a little help to the compilation of localized textbooks in Thailand.
