| The rapid development of urban modernization has promoted the cross-integration of global cultures,making the content of popular culture more and more diverse and interesting,but at the same time,it also brings a dilemma that cannot be ignored for the promotion and inheritance of traditional urban historical culture.With the deep penetration of emerging cultures and the weakening of young people’s awareness of the inheritance of Chinese history and culture,urban history and culture have gradually moved away from the public’s vision and brought a series of important issues in cultural cognition and identification.The Revolution of 1911 is an outstanding historical and cultural heritage in Wuhan and one of the iconic cultural business cards.It has an epoch-making status and significance in Chinese history.Its success has laid an important foundation for creating a democratic republic.As the successors of the new era,we have the responsibility and obligation to shoulder the heavy responsibility of carrying forward and inheriting the history and culture of the 1911 Revolution,awaken historical memories with our own modest power,stimulate cultural vitality,and promote a sense of national cultural identity.Therefore,transforming culture into images and designing visual works that highlight the cultural features of the 1911 Revolution and attract the interest of the audience have become the research goals of this article."The Characters of the 1911 Revolution" is an exploratory research project that relies on image narrative theory for the display and development of history and culture.Its fundamental motivation is to seek ideas and explore the problem of shrinking and dying out of Wuhan’s excellent historical culture in the development process of the new era.An effective method of inheriting and carrying forward the history of the Revolution of 1911 in a happy way,allowing audiences to walk into the Revolution of 1911 and feel the revolutionary history while watching and interacting.This article first detailed elaborates and interprets the theoretical content of the image narrative,narrative mode and expression,and analyzes and summarizes its value and significance in the visual design of the Characters of the 1911 Revolution.Then guided by the image narrative theory,the author explores the creative thoughts of the Revolutionary Figures from the four dimensions of narrative context reconstruction,narrative perspective selection,narrative clue construction and visual symbol shaping.With the objective of solving practical problems at present and giving play to the practical value of the work,the author further analyzes the design methods and design principles that must be applied in the creation process of the Characters of the 1911 Revolution.Then,the previous explorations were put into design practice.Through the establishment of image style to the expression of role relationships and the presentation of scene events,The Characters of the 1911 Revolution was constructed,the history of the revolution was reproduced,and display the exploration and research on the form of figures in works,and complete the era conversion and development of historical culture.Finally,through the pre-judgment of the use situation of the work and the design of the interaction mechanism,the effect of the dissemination of the information of the work is investigated in order to optimize and improve the work in the future. |
