Research On The Mandarin Structure Of "V Hao O"

The main research of this paper is to analyze the semantic features of “V Hao O”mandarin structure.According to the facts of mandarin,a large number of language materials of “V Hao O” structure are been analyzed adequately from the aspects of verb,object,complement “Hao”,semantic type,and the reason of semantic diversity.Besides the introduction and conclusion,there are four parts in this paper.Firstly,verb and object of “V Hao O” structure are been concerned.The research shows that two-syllable verbs(especially coordinate verbs)are superior in numbers,but monosyllabic verbs are frequently used.Most qualified verbs are action verbs.And all qualified verbs have the semantic features of controllable,continuous,non-negative.What's more,objects can be words or phrases from the aspect of syntactic.Patient object,result object,material object can also appears in the object position in terms of semantic.Secondly,analyze the meaning of complement “Hao”.The paper summed complement “Hao” in two meanings,realized,and not realized.The meaning of realized can be divided into three meanings,had been realized,have been realized,be accustomed to do.The meaning of realized can also be divided into five meanings,conditional,objective,hypothetical,possible,necessary.Thirdly,the semantic types of “V Hao O” structure are been researched from the point of complement semantic orientation.“V Hao O” structure can be summarized in three semantic types,subject features,action features,object features.Subject features include satisfaction and acquirement.Action features include fully used,completely finishing and completely realized.Object features include limitation,disappearance,development,consummation,generation,adhesion,appearance,loss.Last but not least,focused on the reason of semantic diversity of “V Hao O”structure.There are four reasons for semantic diversity,the existence of polysemy verbs and isomorph verbs,the diversity of object semantic,and the incompleteness of object.
