The spoken language expression ability has been occupying the vital status in all English expression ability. There are many ways to improve the oral expression ability, among which the practical and effective way is reading aloud. However,it is not enough to ask the students to read the words and the text mechanically. The teacher should also guide the students to "speak through reading" to realize the process from input to output.Based on the input-output theory, information processing theory and the relevant theories of oral English teaching, this paper puts forward the teaching model of "reading and speak",which is mainly based on the reading training of BBS(Basic-BetweenSpeak),the purpose of this study is to answer the following questions:(1)What is the current situation of oral English of senior high school students?(2)Does the reading aloud training improve the accuracy, fluency and complexity of senior high school students' oral English expression?(3)Does reading aloud training improve senior high school students' oral English ability effectively? In this paper,a qualitative and quantitative research method is used to carry out an empirical study and semi-structured interviews with 47 senior one students in Class A of middle school W in Harbin,SPSS25.0 statistical software was used to describe the data analysis, paired samples t-test and independent samples t-test.Key findings:(1)Generally speaking, the oral English ability of senior high school students is low,and the oral English ability of female students is higher than that of male students;through the normal distribution Q-Q chart,we know that the tendency of the students' oral scores before the experiment are normal distribution, the average score was 16.723(out of 30).Sigs.were obtained by independent sample t-test of male and female students 'oral scores before the experiment. Both tail values were 0.000<0.05,with significant difference,The mean difference between the male and female students is-2.925,which shows that the male students' oral scores are less than that of the female students.(2)" Reading to speak " oral English teaching mode in Senior High School improves the accuracy, fluency and complexity of students' oral expression, and the improvement of the accuracy and fluency of senior high school students' oral expression is greater than the complexity.Through the paired sample t test of the accuracy, fluency and complexity of students' oral scores before and after the experiment, the r values were 0.744,0.607 and 0.920 respectively, and the p values of the three were 0.000 < 0.05.Respectively,there were significant differences, among which the absolute order of the three t values: 8.400(fluency)>8.294(accuracy)> 2.837(complexity.)(3)"Reading to speak" oral English teaching model in Senior High School is effective for the improvement of senior high school students' oral expression ability.By paired sample t test,r=0.874,Sig.(double tail)value is 0.000,reaching the significant level of 0.05.Based on the above findings, this paper puts forward the following pedagogical implications:(1)Attaching importance to the role of reading aloud in Oral English Teaching;(2)Attaching importance to the selection of reading materials;(3)Attaching importance to the application of modern information technology, this paper aims to provide some suggestions for oral English teaching for senior English teachers.Of course, there are limitations in this study, and suggestions for improvement are also put forward at the end of the paper.
