Comparative Research On Three Barcarolle Works

Focusing on the research of barcarolle genre,the thesis selects three barcarolle works as the object of research,separately analyzes the creation background,musical structure as well as performance and artistic characteristics on three barcarolles,namely Mendelssohn's Barcarolle(Op.19 No.6),Chopin's Barcarolle in F-Sharp Major(Op.60)and Tchaikovsky's June Barcarolle,and compares the same natures and differences between the musical works of the same musical genre.According to the characteristics of the barcarolle genre,the author analyzes the performance and artistic characteristics and summarizes the melody performance,basso accompaniment of the left hand,changes of speed and force on timbre,application of pedals,performance treatment and experience starting from her own practical perspective.Through the integration of the above-mentioned analysis result,it is expected to conduct reasonable improvement and innovation towards the former research results.By the research methods such as the combination of theory and practice,literature research,chart analysis,comparative analysis as well as generalization and summarization,the thesis conducts analysis of artistic style on the historical and cultural background and local natural environment of barcarolle creation and analyzes the similarities and differences between the barcarolle works from artistic emotional style to musical structure.Based on musical scores,the thesis clearly points out the performance skills and difficulties in each section and indicates how to resolve during the performance.Through the comparison and musical analysis of the three barcarolle works,part of the research may exist insufficiency.However,the author expects that such comparative analysis method is able to be applied into the music research of other genres and is predicted to have some reference value for the future research on musical compositions of other genres.After reading a lot of documents and based on practical theoretical basis,the author will conduct further exploration toward artistic style,musical structure and performance analysis so as to make a contribution in the future performance and teaching practice for piano hobbyists and teaching researchers.
