Scholars in the Ming and Qing Dynasties had already noticed the difference between the Scriptures quoted in the Shuowen and the words used in the classics of that period,and Liu Rongzong's Shuowen Yinjing Kaoyi came into being in this context.The reason for the quotation of different classics in Shuowen was proved by extensive quotation of literature in Shuowen.Liu Rongzong's explanation and outpouring of the view of language and character in his book are worthy of further study.Based on Liu's explanation of different texts,this paper mainly analyzes Liu's discussion of the causes of different texts and his revision of previous explanations,in order to excavate the academic value of this book.This article is mainly divided into the following three parts:The first chapter is the introduction.This chapter introduces the background,content,research methods and current research situation of Shuowen Yinjing Kaoyi,and explains some related problems of this paper.The second chapter mainly introduces the arrangement and explanation of Shuowen Yinjing Kaoyi,and analyzes Liu Shi's thinking on different texts.The third chapter is the main body of this paper.This chapter,based on Liu's explanation of different texts,fully excavates the value of Shuowen Yinjing Kaoyi,and discusses the analysis of the reasons for the formation of different texts in Shuowen Yinjing Kaoyi,as well as the revision of previous explanations.The analysis of the reasons for the formation of different articles in Shuowen Yinjing Kaoyi,marked by Liu's annotation,is divided into General category,hypotheticals category and ancient and modern category.The revision of the commentary of the predecessors includes the revision of Duan Yucai's annotation of Shuowen,the revision of the Shuowen Jiezi,and the revision of the present edition of Sutra.
