English teaching mainly involves listening,speaking,reading,writing and translation.Among them,reading plays a very important role in English teaching.One of the important purposes of reading teaching is to enhance students' reading comprehension ability.Although reading plays such an important role in English teaching,and various teaching methods aiming at improving students' reading level have been put into practice,the reading teaching in China has been influenced by the traditional teaching model for a long time,with a single method and unified teaching materials.Teachers' reading classes are often the same,unified teaching methods,unified progress and unified evaluation standards.This kind of solidified teaching model still occupies the mainstream of English Reading Teaching in China.The disadvantage of this teaching model is that it not only fails to meet the needs of different levels of students,but also weaken the enthusiasm of students' learning,thus students' learning achievements vary greatly.Therefore,it is necessary for English teachers and scholars to explore a more efficient classroom teaching model of English reading.The application of stratified teaching model in English reading class can solve the problems in English teaching.In the English reading class,with the implementation of stratified teaching and teaching based on the individual needs of students,each student can learn what they have achieved,to ensure their overall development by carrying out stratified reading learning.Based on the above situation and needs,this paper will elaborate the theory of stratified teaching mode,explore and analyze the basic model of reading teaching,and also conduct empirical research by using the methods of test paper,questionnaire survey and interview,so the author can explore the impact and role of stratifiedteaching model on senior high school English reading teaching.The research object of this experiment is two parallel classes of Science is the senior 3 students who belong to one of Senior High School in Lanzhou,Gansu Province.The main methods of this experiment are questionnaire survey and test.The experiment will use implicit teaching in the class,setting up the experimental class and the control class.Through the comparative analysis of the pre-test and post-test reading results of the experimental class and the control class,and with reference to the observation and exchange of students by teachers in the teaching process,the following problems are mainly discussed:1.Is stratified teaching in English reading class helpful to improve students' reading performance?2.Which level of students has been affected most by the stratified teaching model in English reading class?3.Can stratified teaching model in English reading class improve students' interest and motivation in learning English?The experimental results show that: compared with the traditional teaching model,stratified teaching model can promote the development of English reading teaching more effectively and also can promote students' reading scores.The stratified teaching mode can not only enhance students' interest and motivation in English learning,but also improve their initiative in learning,it can effectively narrow the gap between different levels of students.For those students who have a poor foundation and lack of motivation in English learning,the stratified teaching in class can effectively improve their reading scores.The author believes that in the future teaching practice,the stratified teaching in English reading class will certainly provide a new direction and practice model for English Reading Teaching in China.
