With the rapid development of social and economic globalization,English,as an international language,has been paid more and more attention,which has led to the promotion of the status of English discipline in school education.With the increase and deepening of learning contents in primary school,junior high school and senior high school,the number of students with learning difficulties in senior high school becomes more and more obvious,especially in English as a second language,which not only seriously affects the growth of students and the improvement of teaching quality,but also hinders the realization of quality-oriented education goals in China.Although the research on the students with learning difficulties has a long history at home and abroad,many of the past research conclusions have been unable to adapt to the current social background.Moreover,English education has been popularized in a large area in China for a long time,and the research on the students with learning difficulties in English discipline is very immature.Therefore,it has become a hot research topic for English education experts and English teachers.On the basis of fully understanding the research results of the students with learning difficulties at home and abroad,and guided by the relevant educational psychology theory,this paper selects two typical students as the research objects.Through one month's understanding of the students whose English is taught by the author in Grade 2 class 6,the author combines the research methods of investigation,interview,case study and action study to study the two subjects.This paper makes a deep analysis of the causes of English learning difficulties,conducts targeted action research on the transformation of learning difficulties students,tracks the learning state of the research object in real situation,and finally summarizes and reflects,whose goal is to solve the problems at the point of the English teacher in senior high school : How can English teachers in senior high school effectively transform students with English learning difficulties in education and teaching?Through a half semester's follow-up study,the author summarizes the following six strategies for senior high school English teachers to effectively transform students with English learning difficulties in education and teaching.First,establish an equal,democratic and harmonious relationship between teachers and students,and lay a solid foundation for the transformation of students with learning difficulties by meeting people's basic emotional needs;second,pay more attention to students with learning difficulties,and try to be good at grasping the emotional education in English teaching;third,make full use of all resources and ways to stimulate students with learning difficulties' interest in English learning and their internal drive;fourth,find students with learning difficulties the advantages and slight progress in English learning and strengthen them in time,so appreciation education should be carried out more frequently;fifth,through implicit layered teaching,students with learning difficulties should intentionally create successful experience and enhance their self-confidence in English learning;sixth,students with different learning difficulties should be guided with targeted learning methods to cultivate good English learning habits.This paper not only puts forward some strategies for senior high school English teachers to effectively transform students with English learning difficulties in practical teaching activities,but also summarizes some thoughts and inspiration for senior high school English teaching.
