A Practical Study Of Group Work Involved In The Spiritual Needs Of The Elderly With High Knowledge

In recent years,with the continuous improvement of Chinese economic level,the gradual improvement of medical and health conditions,the per capita life expectancy has been increased,and the proportion of the elderly population is gradually increasing,which brings the process of population aging in China to accelerate,and to enter the ranks of aging countries.Through combing the relevant literature,we found that the existing researches on the elderly are mostly focused on the basic survival needs of medical and health security,material life security,housing security,and so on,while the researches on the relatively special elderly group-the elderly with high knowledge are few.Compared with the general elderly,the elderly with high knowledge have generally received good cultural education,and they have a higher level of knowledge,good economic security,and a higher social status.After retirement,due to the change of their own identity and role status,they are prone to fall behind psychologically,resulting in a sense of loss,which makes it difficult to meet their spiritual needs.This paper takes community B in Chongqing as an example,through questionnaire and household interview,to understand the spiritual life of the group of elderly people in Gaozhi.With group activities as the starting point,guided by social support network theory,needs theory and activity theory,and guided by the self realization needs of elderly people in Gaozhi,the group is designed to "gather here","recall Fanghua" and "rely on the past" ”Six group activities,namely "returning to the basics","remaining elegant" and "never growing old",are held to promote theestablishment of contacts among members and form the identification within the group;to let members do valuable things and enhance their self-worth;to consolidate the experience gained by members and achieve the three phased goals of helping others to help themselves.Through the intervention of group work practice,let the elderly know and accept themselves in the process of participating in activities,regain their self-worth,and then play their self-worth in real life to meet the needs of the elderly in seeking knowledge,cultural entertainment,social interaction and self realization.Through the process evaluation and effectiveness evaluation of group activities,this paper finds that the group work involved in the spiritual needs of the elderly with high knowledge in urban communities is effective,in which the demand for knowledge,cultural and entertainment needs and social interaction needs are satisfied well,and the satisfaction of self realization needs the elderly's own sustained promotion,so as to show good results.Based on the summary and reflection of the research,this paper proposes that: all sectors of society need to pay more attention to the spiritual needs of the elderly with high knowledge;the community should integrate its own resources to actively build a platform for the elderly with high knowledge to carry out activities,link the school's teacher resources and student volunteer resources to provide more professional services for the elderly with high knowledge;the family should give the elderly with more family warmth and care;social workers We should strengthen the professional theoretical literacy and practical service quality,optimize the elderly care service function of the community where the elderly live,strengthen the spiritual support for the elderly,and enrich the spiritual needs of the elderly.The society,community and family work together to create a high-quality life for the elderly.
