More and more statistics show that intimate partner violence has become a more common social problem.For a longer period of time,researchers have paid more attention to the direct victims of intimate partner violence,focusing on the physical and mental changes of women after partner violence and intervention strategies.But women are not the only victims when intimate partner violence occurs.Their children are more or less aware and even involved in this violent conflict.Family is an important base for children's psychological development.Children are not silent witnesses when intimate partner violence occurs.They make cognitive processing and emotional response to such negative event in their own way.Foreign studies have found that children exposed to intimate partner violence exhibit higher levels of internalized problem behavior and externalized problem behavior than children not exposed to intimate partner violence,but domestic research on child problem behavior exposed to intimate partner violence is still in blank stage.Based on this,this study starts from the current situation of Chinese adolescent exposure to intimate partner violence,and explores adolescents' problem behavior characteristics exposed to intimate partner violence,the relationship between exposure to intimate partner violence and problem behavior.In order to arouse domestic psychology and sociology researchers pay attention to children's issues exposure to intimate partner violence,so as to better guide practitioners to adopt corresponding intervention strategies,protect children's rights and interests,and improve children's social adaptation.This study mainly includes four parts: first,the Revised Conflict Tactics Scales(CTS2)was revised,which was converted into a self-reported version of the youth,and the items were streamlined during the revision process;second,it analyzes the current situation of adolescent exposure to intimate partner violence and the characteristics of adolescents' problem behaviors exposed to intimate partner violence;Finally,the intermediary role of emotional insecurity and security between exposure to intimate partner violence and problem behavior was investigated.And the main results were as follows:(1)The revised of Revised Conflict Tactics Scales(CTS2)has 16 items,including negotiation,psychological attack and physical attack.After testing,the revised scale has good reliability and validity among the Chinese youth group.(2)A survey of the current situation of adolescent exposure to intimate partner violence found that the overall incidence of intimate partner violence perceived by adolescents was 33.15%,and the incidences of psychological and physical attacks were 29.78% and 23.03%,respectively.The rates of father-to-mother and mother-to-father intimate partner violence perceived by teenagers were 25.84% and 26.59%,and the incidence of intimate partner violence between parents was comparable.(3)Exposure to intimate partner violence has significant differences in gender and family type,and there is no significant difference in grades.Specifically,girls' perceived intimate partner violence exposure is significantly higher than that of boys;teenagers' intimate partner violence exposure scores in single-parent family are significantly higher than those of parents and extended families.(4)Adolescents exposed to intimate partner violence have significant differences in their problem behaviors in terms of gender,grade and family type.Specifically,girls exposed to intimate partner violence have significantly higher depression than boys;eighth-grade adolescents have significantly higher scores on externalization problems than seventh-grade adolescents;children from single-parent families score significantly higher aggression levels than from parents and restructured families.(5)Adolescents exposed to intimate partner violence have significantly higher scores on depression,internalized problem behaviors,hyperactivity,aggression,violation of discipline,and externalized problem behaviors than adolescents who have not been exposed to intimate partner violence.(6)Adolescents exposed to intimate partner violence by mother-led have significantly higher scores on hyperactivity problems than adolescents exposed to intimate partner violence by father-led.(7)Exposure to intimate partner violence can directly and indirectly affect problem behaviors through the intermediary of emotional insecurity.(8)Exposure to intimate partner violence can directly affect problem behaviors,and can indirectly influence problem behaviors through the intermediary effect of security.(9)By examining the chain intermediary effect of emotional insecurity and security between exposure to intimate partner violence and problem behaviors,it was found that exposure to intimate partner violence can directly affect problem behaviors,or through the chain mediation effect of emotional insecurity and security indirectly affect problem behaviors.
