This is the translation practice report of Chapter 8 and Chapter 9 of Aphasia and Other Acquired Neurogenic Language Disorders. The book covers important information about neurological aspects and theoretical descriptions of language processing problems.Under the guidance of Catford's translation theory, this report analyzes the translation practice, and makes case studies from two aspects: level shifts and category shifts. In the process of English-Chinese translation,if the source text and the target text can not achieve complete equivalence, the translator should make appropriate translation shifts so that the target text can not only accurately convey the content and meaning of the original text, but also conform to the expression habits of the target language readers. This report is divided into five parts. The first part is the description of the translation task, including the introduction of the source text and the author, and the purpose and significance of the study. The second part is the description of the translation process. The third part is the description of translation guidance theory, including the overview of Catford's translation shifts theory and the research of translation shifts theory both at home and abroad. The fourth part is the case study.Based on the translation of the source text, the author selects some typical examples and summarizes some translation methods. The fifth part is the summary of translation practice, including the harvest of this translation practice, the reflection on this translation practice and the inspiration of this translation practice to the author.
