Vivaldi's Violin Concerto The Four Seasons

Antonio·Vivaldi is a famous composer and violinist in the Baroque period.During his lifetime,he created plentiful works which include the most well-known violin concerto The Four Seasons,it is the first four part of the large-scale work The Contest between Harmony and Invention which had been dedicated to the Earl of Bohemia.Vivaldi chooses The Four Seasons as his theme and title to create this work which belongs to Program Music.And he published the concerti with accompanying sonnets that vividly described what it was in the story of each season that his music was intended to create fantastic fantasy for audience.This paper,start by studying creative techniques of this work,aims to study the performance techniques,analyze different versions of the performance,explore performer's understanding of the works from the different music style.The author tries to reaserch this great work from the vertical and horizontal perspectives,so as to provide some references for the future researcher.This paper is divided into three parts:The first part: Introduction,includes the topic selection,domestic and foreign literature review,research purposes and methods,the process of the general introduction.The second part: Body,which is divided into three parts include author's creation background,creative characteristic and performance techniques.The third part: Conclusion,summarizes the paper's argument and put forwards the avenues of future research.
