Chin-Cheng Lin(1984-)is a marimba performer and composer from Taiwan.Chin-Cheng Lin majored in violin from junior high school to senior high school,then switched to percussion in his third year of high school.This paper consists of six chapters.The main content is the creation background and playing technique of marimba's work "marimba no.1 concerto" by Chin-Cheng Lin.The first chapter introduces the composer Chin-Cheng Lin.Born in 1984 in Taipei,Taiwan province,Chin-Cheng Lin is not only internationally renowned for his performance,but also a rare musician with special talent at home and abroad.Chin-Cheng Lin composed more than 50 marimba xylophone solos.Like "Flying","Wind","April Sky","Kaleidoscope" and so on.By understanding the composer,you can analyze the music more effectively.The second chapter introduces the background of the composition,which was inspired by Chin-Cheng Lin's theme slogan "One World,One Dream" of the 29 th Olympic Games in Beijing.By understanding the background of the composition and more directly understanding the composer's ideas,let play full of ideas.The third chapter is the analysis of the music,analyzing the characteristics of the works and the form structure of the three movements.The fourth chapter is a study of different playing techniques of the three movements of the work.The interpretation of rhythm,force,speed and volume makes the performance more expressive.The fifth chapter is the research on the cooperation skills between marimba and piano accompaniment.Chapter six is the conclusion,which summarizes the discussion of this paper.
