In our daily life,we often encounter some immoral behaviors, such as people jumping in line while lining up for shopping, such as corruption and bribery by senior officials. So what factors affect our judgment of moral behavior? According to the dual processing theory of power stereotypes and moral judgments, people often think that individuals with a high sense of power are more ethical, more diligent and intelligent, more suitable as leaders, and have more positive personality traits. In actual life,we also think so.It is because of these impressions that when we make moral judgments about people of this identity,we will make rational or intuitive thinking.Thinking style,as a typical method and preference of individual information processing,is also one of the research hotspots in the field of moral behavior judgment.Does the stereotype of power affect individual moral behavior judgment through thinking style? In addition, some scholars believe that the process of judging moral behavior requires time, and under high time pressure, the moral decisions made by individuals are more rule-oriented.So,under the pressure of time, how will thinking style and other people's perception of power affect moral behavior judgment? Based on these issues, this study aims to explore the influence of thinking style and the perception of others' power on moral behavior judgment under time pressure. This study consists of two experiments. The first experiment is to study the influence of thinking style and other people's power perception on moral behavior judgment. It uses 2(thinking style: rational / intuitive)× 2(power: low / high)between-subjects design.Experiment 2 studies the influence of thinking style and other people's power perception on moral behavior judgment under time pressure, using 2(time pressure: yes / no)* 2(thinking style: rational / intuitive style)* 2(power: low / high)three-factor experimental design of the inter-subject.We found that:(1)The influence of rational style and intuitive styleon moral behavior judgment were significantly different. The participants of rational thinking style had higher acceptance of moral behavior than those of direct thinking style. There was no significant difference in the acceptance of moral behavior between participants and those with intuitive thinking styles;(2)There is a significant difference in the impact of other people 's perception of power on moral behavior judgment. The participants' acceptance of moral behavior after perceived high power of others is lower than the acceptance of moral behavior after perceived low power of others; On the condition of time pressure, there is no significant difference in the acceptance of moral behavior regardless of whether the participants perceived the power of others is high or low;(3)Under no time pressure, under the influence of high power, there is no significant difference in the acceptance of moral behavior between the subjects of rational style and intuitive style;under no time pressure, under the influence of low power, there is a significant difference in the acceptance of moral behavior between participants of rational style and that of intuitive styles;(4)Under time pressure,no matter whether the power of others is high or low, whether the participants are intuitive or rational, there is no significant difference in the acceptance of moral behavior.Experimental results:(1)In the absence of time pressure, the subjects of rational style tend to make judgments of moral behavior consistent with results;the subjects of intuitive style tend to make judgments of moral behavior consistent with rules;under time pressure, participants with rational style and intuitive thinking styles are both more inclined to make rule-oriented judgments of moral behavior;(2)Under no time pressure, subjects tend to make rules-oriented moral behavior judgments toward high-power people, and subjects tend to make result-oriented moral behavior judgments toward low-power people;under time pressure, participants made judgments on moralbehavior consistent with rules for both low-power and high-power people;(3)Under no time pressure, when perceiving others' high power, subjects of rational style and intuition style tend to make judgments based on rules-oriented moral behavior;when perceiving low power of others, subjects of rational style tend to make judgments based on results-oriented moral behavior, while intuitive style participants tend to make judgments based on rules-oriented moral behavior.(4)Subject to time pressure,no matter whether the power of others is high or low, whether the subjects are intuitive or rational, they tend to make rules-oriented moral behavior judgments.
