Study On The Main Types And Characteristics Of Yi Mythology

Yi mythology is rich in content and form and scattered in all kinds of Chinese classics and Yi literature.Therefore,it is inconvenient for people to learn and grasp the whole picture and characteristics of the Yi mythology.Based on the existing Yi mythology literature and related mythology theory,the Yi mythology was classified and studied according to its characteristic and content.Finally,it was concluded in to five categories including natural mythology,creation mythology,flood mythology,sense mythology and hero mythology.On the basis of classified research,this paper used the historical comparison to find out the difference between Yi mythology,Chinses mythology with Han nationality characteristics and extraterrestrial mythology.According to the performance and ideological essence of Yi mythology,this paper analyzed and summarized the characteristics of Yi mythology.It is concluded that the Yi mythology has all-encompassing content,prominent philosophical speculative features,and distinctive reality features.This paper could be divided into three parts: introduction,main body and references.There were three chapters in the main body.Details of each part were described as follows:Introduction mainly discussed about the significance of the topic,the review of academic history,the research ideas and methods,the research priorities,difficulties and innovations.By using this method,the vacancy and shortage of Yi mythology could be found.And this paper focus on these points to solve the problem.There are at least three aspects of significance in choosing the types and characteristics of Yi mythology as the research topic.First,studying Chinese mythology from a historical perspective is one of the ways to fully understand the ancient Chinese society.The study of Yi mythology is an important supplement to the study of Chinese mythology.Second,the collection and publication of various documents of the Yi mythology nationality has provided convenience for the study after the founding of the people's Republic of China.The study of Yi mythology is an important perspective to understand the activity track of the ancestors of the Yi nationality in history.Last but not the least,Yi mythology is an important part of the history in Chinese ethnic mythology,which is helps to improve the history of Chinese minority mythology.The first chapter discussed the definition of mythology and the performance of Yi mythology literature.This paper mainly defined the concept of mythology,which was considered to be the mysterious interpretation of people and their surroundings under the influence of the productivity of primitive society.Besides,the complicated Yi mythology literature were summarized to facilitate the research development.Based on the first chapter,the second chapter explored the main types of Yi mythology.On the basis of the Chinese literature,Yi literature and the Yi mythology in folk was divided into oral tradition,the Yi mythology was divided into five types according to their characteristics.In addition,summarizations and comments were given on each type.The third chapter mainly studied the characteristics of Yi mythology according to its content and ideological essence.It was concluded that Yi mythology has all-inclusive content,prominent philosophical speculative features,and distinctive social reality features.
