In Tibetan area,Worship of Holy Mountains,combined with Tibetan primitive worship and Buddhist belief,is the important performance of continuation of Tibetan primitive culture to today and undertakes the spiritual world and life attitude of the ethnic group.Worship of Holy Mountains is also correlated with the local social structure,cultural concept and historical mentality more than a mere belief.Mountains not only exist as natural resources and boundaries,but are also organic social-ecological system with sanctity.Tibetans living in the area shape their own code of conduct by understanding and perceiving the mythological stories of mountains and such code conduct guides the Naqara Tibetans to coexist with sacred mountains.In this paper,through interpreting the myths,legends and ritual contents in Naqara Tibetan society,the connectivity between mountain gods corresponding to different sacred mountains and land ownership is revealed according to the relationship between mountains gods corresponding to sacred mountains,villages and houses and land ownership while such connectivity is demonstrated through ritual process.Meanwhile,the correspondence between specific groups and sacred mountains reflects the regional boundaries between different groups.The small sacred mountains in charge of natural villages not only take high yield as its main function,but also serve as the boundary stones between villages.The worship of large sacred mountains guarding the boundaries reflects the social connection of common belief among different villages in the whole Naqara area.The sacred mountains with both functions of fighting and high yield constitute the dual forms of the structure of sacred mountains in Naqara area and also jointly guarantee the integrity of Naqara villages to some extent.Through land ownership,we can see the communication mode between human beings and gods as well the correspondence between local sacred mountain system and social structure.Hence,in this paper,through the relationship between land classification and ownership and sacred mountains,the local sacred mountain system and social structure will be illustrated so as to further understand the integration of local sacred mountains and local villages.The case research of Naqara villages is helpful to our further understanding of types sand system of sacred mountains in Tibetan area in Northwestern Yunnan so that we can see the performance of sacred mountain structure in Tibetan society from the relationship among sacred mountain belief,mountain immigrating ceremony and land ownership.Furthermore,as the iconic belief life of Tibetan society,on one hand,Worship of Holy Mountains is the foundation for the whole village to have cohesion,centripetal force and identity consciousness,which further results in the common sense of cultural belonging.On the other hand,Worship of Holy Mountains establishes a unique ecological ethical concept among Tibetans so as to protect the natural ecological system depending on the sacred power of belief and taboos.The continuation and inheritance of Worship of Holy Mountains is the guarantee to consolidate and develop the diversified and integrated pattern.Additionally,the research on Tibetans' belief of sacred mountains in Northwest Yunnan also provides a case for the research on Tibetan-Yi Corridor.
