In the actual teaching processes,writing is often put in an insignificant condition,thus problems such as semantic incoherence,prolixity,lack of the awareness of discourses often appear in student passages.The author analyzed the errors of the passages written by the students during the period of being a volunteer Chinese teacher in Thailand based on the cohesion theory and experimental comparison,designed the experiment under the guidance of the writing processes,to compare the effects of the acquisitions of the non-structural cohesive devices before and after the experiment.This thesis was divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction.It mainly introduced the reason of the choice of this topic,the review of reaches about the discourses concept,types of cohesion,cohesive devices in Chinese teaching and the teaching methods of writing,then raised the author's own topic and method of research.The second part is about the relevant theories to be used in this thesis.It introduced the theoretical basis,characteristic and processes of teaching of the writing processes in details,and explained six cohesive devices including reference,substitution,ellipsis,conjunction,repetition and,collocation and defined the terms appeared in this thesis.The third part is about the analysis of the linguistic data which was collected before the experiment.errors of the students using the cohesive devices mostly related to omittance,prolixity,and misuse,and the causes of the errors are negative transfer of native language,generalization of the rules of target language,the particularities of Chinese language,influences of communicative strategies,and the factors related to the teacher,teaching materials and students.The fourth part is about the experiment designed from the perspective of teaching strategies.For verifying the guesses,the author used two different types of teaching methods in two classes,compared and analyzed linguistic data which was collected before and after the experiment: the writing processes is good for the students to acquisition non-structural cohesion and better than the Task-based language teaching.The fifth part is the summary of the research,the conclusion and disadvantages of this thesis,and the plan of the study for the next stage.
