In psychology, anxiety, tension, anger, depression, sadness, pain and other emotions are collectively referred to as negative emotions.Such emotional experiences are not positive, and the body will feel uncomfortable, even affecting work and life. The probability of college students suffering from negative emotions is higher than other groups, which is a group that needs special attention.Emotions are closely related to cognition.Studies have shown that negative emotions can cause problems such as attention and memory reduced.Based on the characteristics of EEG signals, this study analyzed and compared the intervention effects of music therapy and neural feedback stimulation on emotions and attention, while assisting with neuropsychological scale analysis of data results.Evaluating negative emotions by anxiety self-assessment scale(SAS),depression self-assessment scale(SDS),and positive-negative emotion scale(PANAS)were used to screen out SAS and SDS scores greater than 35 points and negative scores in PANAS greater than 20 from 50 Yanshan University student subjects. There were 20 music stimulation test subjects,20 neural feedback training subjects, and 10 control group subjects. The trail lasted two weeks,5 days a week,5 minutes a day. Before the first day of the trail and after the last day of the trail, the neuropsychological scale and attention test need to be completed.Pre and post training every day,the EEG signals of the subjects were collected at rest.Music therapy is based on the 1/f wave analysis theory. On the premise of analyzing the effects of different music types on emotions, music with continuous distribution of high, medium and low frequency spectrum which is sensitive to negative emotion regulation was selected as the stimulating music material.Neural feedback training used the ratio of alpha to beta rhythm of EEG signals as a feedback training indicator, and used the feedback training video under the IOS system to help ease emotions as a training program,so as to achieve the purpose of regulating emotional state and attention level. This study analyzed the influence of two intervention methods on brain function characteristic parameters, and their effects on mood and cognitive improvement. In particular, the difference in the laterality of the brain was analyzed by the relative power change, and the changes in coherence between the left and right hemispheres, coherence between regions, andcontinuous coherence in corresponding electrode pairs.(1)The relative power changes in the alpha, beta, and theta frequency bands were analyzed. The results showed that the positions where the relative power of the experimental group significantly increased were concentrated in the frontal and temporal regions. The relative power of the right hemisphere of the subjects increased, and the left hemisphere's The relative power value is reduced, further improving the laterality difference between the left and right hemispheres, and reducing the asymmetry of the left and right hemispheres, especially concentrated in the frontal and middle posterior temporal regions. The relative power changes in the alpha, beta, and theta frequency bands are statistically significant.(2)EEG coherence analysis. In particular,an improved algorithm of continuous coherence was proposed,in order to make up for the lack of coherence analysis that only in the frequency domain. The coherence of the electrode pairs between the hemispheres: the coherence of the beta and theta bands in the frontal area was significantly increased, and the areas where the coherence was enhanced in the neural feedback training group were mostly concentrated in the temporal area.Coherence between brain regions: The activity between the temporal region and the central region was strengthened and the correlation was higher.Continuous coherence: The frontal EEG coherence in the beta, theta, and delta frequency bands had an upward trend with time, while the music stimulation group and the control group tended to be stable.Neuropsychological scale test and attention assessment results showed that negative emotions and attention were improved and statistically significant. The changes in the control group were not statistically significant. The research results showed that music stimulation and neural feedback training can be used as effective tools to regulate negative emotions and cognitive attention.EEG signal features can be used as an effective evaluation tool.
