As a continuation of classroom teaching,homework can effectively help teachers to improve students' grades,optimize teaching and cultivate students' abilities in various aspects.By correcting homework scientifically,giving feedback to students in time,teachers can not only know students' state in time,stimulate students' motivation to learn,but also communicate with students and shorten the distance between teachers and students.If there are problems in the correction of homework,the function of homework is difficult to play,and it will also affect the learning status of students,which is counterproductive.However,a survey of relevant studies at home and abroad shows that the research on high school English homework correction is not much.Therefore,this paper takes high school English written homework as the research target,conducts an in-depth analysis of the current situation of English homework correction,tries to figure out the problems,and puts forward optimization methods.This paper takes the high school of No.9 middle school in Nanchong as an example,investigates the current situation of English homework correction in high school through a questionnaire and interviews,then analyzes them and try to answer the following two questions:Question 1:What are the problems in English homework correction in senior high school?Question 2:Do students at different levels expect different ways of correction? What kind of correction do they prefer?According to the current situation reflected by the survey results,it is not hard to see that there are still many problems in English homework correction in high school.For example,teacher's cognition of homework is insufficient,the criticism standard is single,the correcting subject is limited to the teacher,the correcting symbol is not humanized.On the other hand,students at different levels have different expectations on the scope of teacher correction,correction standards and reward methods.Underachievers hope that teachers can correct some students' homework and that teachers will pay more attention to students' progress.While top students hope that teachers will reward themselves in private.In order to optimize the current situation of homework correction in senior high school,the author makes some suggestions from the three stages: before,during and after the correction.It is hope that through the research of this paper,the majority of teachers can pay attention to the process of homework correction and get inspiration.
