According to the latest data display,there are 2.46 million school-age disabled children aged 6 to 14,and 760 thousand children with intellectual disabilities,it accounts for 31% of the total number of school-age disabled children.According to the data released by the Ministry of civil affairs in 2013,there are 674 thousand abandoned children in China,and about 104 thousand children are adopted by various welfare institutions.A large part of these abandoned children is accompanied by mental retardation.What is not matched with such a large population and high prevalence rate is that the current domestic research on the children with mental retardation is unbalanced: On the one hand,there are few kinds of research focusing on this kind of children's language development;on the other hand,from the perspective of research basis,they are mainly concentrated in the fields of pedagogy,psychology,and medicine,and the achievements of linguistics are relatively scarce,at the same time,there is a lack of research on the classification of mentally retarded children.This study is devoted to systematically examining the influence of growth environment on the vocabulary acquisition of children with mental retardation,combining objective analysis with experimental research,based on the theory of emergentism,this study compares the number,degree,and order of vocabulary acquisition among children with mental retardation and family growth retardation,it is fully proved that the growth environment is the main factor affecting the language acquisition of children with mental retardation,and the growth background has a great influence on the acquisition type,order,cognitive understanding and expression of nouns of children with mental retardation.And further proposed vocabulary teaching and language education strategies for children with mental retardation from the perspective of rehabilitation concepts,environmental settings,and rehabilitation methods.This article is divided into six parts: The first part is the introduction.Firstly,the article explains the concept of the research object.Furthermore,it summarizes the main perspectives,main research objects and research focuses of the vocabulary research of children with intellectual disabilities from both domestic and internationaldimensions,and points out the shortcomings of the existing research.There are deficiencies in the research.Finally,the significance of this research and the main methods adopted by the research are clarified and introduce the research theories used in this paper.The second part is the first chapter,the establishment of speech corpus for children with intellectual disabilities.Three types of subjects,including children with family growth mental retardation,mental retardation children without dependence and typical developmental children.The corpora of the three types of children were rewritten and labeled respectively.The third part is the second chapter,to investigate and analyze the noun acquisition of mental retardation children.The comparison includes four parts,appellation nouns,daily necessities nouns,transportation nouns,and location nouns.The research objects were mental retardation children growing up in a family,mental retardation children without dependence and typical developmental children.Among these three types of subjects,typical developmental children served as the control group.Focus on the study and analysis of the commonness and differences in the acquisition of four types of noun vocabulary quantity,word frequency and high-frequency words between the mentally retarded children and the typical development children,as well as the commonness and differences in the acquisition of nouns between the mental retardation children growing up in a family and mental retardation children without dependence.The fourth part is the third chapter,which is experimental research.To investigate the acquisition order of appellation nouns,daily necessities nouns,transportation nouns,and location nouns for children growing up in a family,mental retardation children without dependence and children with typical development.The fifth part is the fourth chapter,to analyze the differences in the noun acquisition of children with mental retardation from different growth backgrounds,and analyze the path of how the growth background affects the noun acquisition of mentally retarded children.The sixth part is the fifth chapter,researching on the vocabulary development strategies of mentally retarded children based on the emergence theory.Thevocabulary development strategies for children with mental retarded were developed from the three dimensions: renewal rehabilitation theory,optimization environmental settings,and iteration rehabilitation methods.Finally,the article summarizes the innovation points of the research on the research object,the research theory,the research content,the research perspective,and the research method.At the same time,it summarizes the shortcomings of the article.
