A large number of Daoist scriptures were produced in the medieval times of China, and one of the features of these scriptures is that they are closely related to the Zhuangzi on the theme and structure.Since the 1980 s,Professor Wang Ming has put forward “Which discourses in Zhuangzi are closely related to Daoist thoughts”,and then many outstanding works have also emerged, however, most of them focus on the Daoism's fusion of Zhuangzi's philosophy.Researches based on this belong to the so-called “station-fixed point” study,or one-way comparative study, which lacks the perspective study on the text of Zhuangzi and Daoist classics, especially ignores the differences among the diverse classics of Daoism in the acceptance of Zhuangzi and the interaction study between them. Therefore, based on the traditional literatures, this dissertation centers on the textual construction relation between Zhuangzi and the Medieval Daoist scriptures and tries to make a comprehensive and in-depth analysis on them from the View of life and death, ghosts and gods, universe, linguistic, the theory of Dao and body health care, and the interpretation tradition of classics. In this way,not only can we further understand the course of Zhuangzi's canonization, religification and sanctification, and deepen the study of Zhuangzi, but also expand the understanding of the formation and development of Daoist classics in the Medieval ages of China. In general, this dissertation mainly includes the following parts:The introduction part, introduces the research object, the questions to be answered and how to answer, and examines the research history and status quo related to this topic from a diachronic perspective, and then draws out the three stages of Daoism's acceptance of Zhuangzi, namely, early studies of different Daoism history, the study of comparison confirm with one-way impact and the study of dual interaction within the internal differences. The body part is in five chapters. The first chapter,“Textual Research about Zhuangzi being also Known as ‘Nan Hua' ”,aims to clarify that zhuangzi named “Nan Hua”,which was since the Eastern Jin dynasty under the interaction between Daoist divinity and imperial power, and the result of the promotion of intellectuals and people who love with Zhuangzi.Taking an examination of the origin,it is related to Zhuangzi being included in the Daoist transcendent system and its transformation. The book of Zhuangzi is also called “Nan Hua”,which can be examined based on the given name.Based on the evolution of the genealogical structure of Daoism,The chapter two,“the acceptance of the view of life and death in zhuangzi by the Medieval Daoist scriptures”,tries to clarify that Medieval Daoist scriptures not only “value life”,but advocat “ life and death in a natural way” “life is death and death is life” “life and death are emptiness”.And it not only focus on the protection of the whole body shape, but do destruction and transformation of the body's shape. From this theme,we can also see the persistent role of Zhuangzi in Daoism thoughts, which belongs to the category of life and death. The third chapter,“The Acceptance of the Fables of Zhuangzi by the Medieval Daoist scriptures”,focuses on demonstrating Zhuangzi's contribution to the construction of Daoist transcendent system, and by combining with cases study, reveals the Medieval Daoist scriptures and Zhuangzi's selection of moral order through the text's deep structure, which belongs to the category of Ming, and ghosts and gods as the first chapter. The fourth chapter “The acceptance of the Daoist arts and techniques in Zhuangzi by the Medieval Daoist scriptures”,from the perspective of the doctrine of cultivation and text misreading, circulating, expatiating the commonality and difference between the “double forgetfulness” “sitting in oblivion” “fasting of the mind” “heart died as ash” from Zhuangzi and the Medieval scriptures,What's more, the view of “heart died as ash” in Zhuangzi should be “quiet as died ash” in the text of ancient version Zhuangzi, this might be the result of Guo Xiang's revision. This chapter belongs to the category of the theory of Dao and body health care. The first four chapters focus on the interrelation between the medieval scriptures and Zhuangzi in terms of their acceptability, and to a certain extent, the similarities and differences in the acceptability of the classics of Daoism.Based on the views of universe, linguistic, national psychological development and other categories, the fifth chapter,“History and Imagination: The Open and Acceptable of Text”,continues to explore why such acceptance is possible from the perspective of the interpretation tradition of the classics. The conclusion summarizes the acceptance of Zhuangzi by the Medieval Daoist scriptures, and puts forward some ideas on the acceptance category not mentioned in this paper, which can provide directions for the follow-up research. In addition, there are two appendices at the end of the paper.Appendix I is “Textual Research about Nan Hua Lun”.Appendix II is the reference to the Medieval Daoist scriptures. In summary, this dissertation, for the first time, puts Zhuangzi into the whole process of the formation and development of Daoist doctrines in the medieval times, and believes that in the interweaving of history and imagination, this kind of relevance, similarity and commonality in the thematic structure, character image, language style,Daoism theory, thinking mode, etc.,determine the extent of acceptance of Zhuangzi by the Medieval Daoist scriptures;the differences and conflicts between them, namely, contradiction, difference and mutual exclusion, reflect the digestion, absorption, transformation or even transcendence of zhuangzi by Medieval Daoist scriptures to some extent. It is not only the process of the construction of the Medieval Daoist scriptures argumentation, but the process of the canonization, religification and sanctification of Zhuangzi.
