The evolution of Chinese common words, as an important topic in the study of Chinese vocabulary history, has get more and more attention. But most of the studies focus on the development and diachronic replacement of a single word. Synchronic system and evolution mechanism lack of attention. Based on the mass of the Buddhist scriptures corpus, this paper selects the “Woshui” verbs(Qin, Mei, Wo, Mian, Shui) as the research object. The analytic hierarchy process will be used in order to reveal every detail of historical evolution.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction, the main text and conclusion, a total of six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, in which we introduce the background, object, materials and status of this study. In second to fifth chapter we describe the distribution of the five members in four periods of the Three Kingdoms, Jin Dynasty, Southern and Northern Dynasties and Sui Dynasty. The sixth chapter is the conclusion. The synchronic and diachronic situation in in the Medieval Chinese of the five members is concluded through above research.
