Risk decision making means that people often need to weigh options and make decisions under uncertain circumstances.Risk decisions are made in all areas, including non-economic risk activities in addition to money-related lottery buying and gambling. It is important to explore the factors that influence risk decisions and guide people on when to meet challenges and when to avoid risks. On the basis of previous studies, this study attempts to test the risk appetite of subsequent risk decision tasks by priming the state of gratitude. In order to explore the impact of gratitude on risk propensity, study 1 initiated the state of gratitude by watching gratitude education videos and completed the subsequent risk decision questionnaire. It turns out that gratitude reduces an individual's risk seeking.Specific analysis shows that gratitude shows risk aversion in financial risk field and physical risk field. The effect of wind framing effect on gratitude and risk decision making is further explored.Study 2 simulates the real risk decision making process, that is,the impact of gratitude is discussed by simulating the risk decision task by simulating the balloon.By writing about experienced gratitude events to activate the state of gratitude,it was found that gratitude reduced the risk propensity under the loss framework, whether in the context of virtual or real monetary rewards.Study 3 focuses on exploring the internal mechanism of gratitude for risk decision-making.After initiating the state of gratitude,it is found that grateful individuals reduce their risk preference by reducing their cognitive flexibility. In short, three studies in this paper prove that gratitude shows risk aversion by affecting individual cognition in the process of simulating actual risk decision-making.This suggests that individuals who are grateful in real life are less willing to take impulsive risks.
