English writing is an important part of junior high school English learning,but it is often ignored by teachers and students.It is still a weak part in English teaching.Writing ability is the embodiment of students' Comprehensive English ability.It is one of the most important parts to reflect students' English level.It is also a major difficulty in junior high school English teaching.In the examination,many students are very afraid of writing a composition,even some students can't write a sentence at all.In the process of marking papers,teachers often find that some students can only write one or two sentences in their English compositions.At present,most of the students and teachers pay too much attention to the results of English writing and ignore the process of writing,so that students' learning attitude,interest and learning methods for English writing have not been well cultivated,and the long-term neglect of English writing also leads to students' lack of self-confidence in English writing,which leads their writing achievements cannot be effectively improved.Therefore,this study will apply group cooperative learning to junior high school English writing teaching on the basis of previous studies,aiming to improve students' English writing achievements and interest in English writing,and cultivate students' sense of cooperation.In this study,95 students in Grade 9 of Zigong No.9 middle school are taken as the research objects,of which Class 7 are taken as experimental class and Class 6 are taken as control class to carry out the experiment.The experiment lasts for 3 months,and the following three questions are explored in detail:(1)Can group cooperative learning improve junior high school students' English writing achievements?(2)Whether group cooperative learning is helpful to improve junior high school students' interest in English writing?(3)Whether group cooperative learning is helpful to cultivate students' sense of cooperation?The author adopted group cooperative learning teaching mode in the experimental class and the traditional teaching mode in the control class.The data of this experiment mainly comes from the questionnaire survey,the writing test,and the interview.The author hopes to explore whether group cooperative learning method can improve students' writing achievements,whether cooperative learning has a positive impact on students' interest towards English writing,and whether group cooperative learning is helpful to cultivate students' sense of cooperation.The author sincerely hopes to make a modest contribution to improve the current writing teaching dilemma,and to provide some new ideas for junior high school English teachers who are facing the same dilemma.
