The silvering of money in Ming Dynasty is an important feature of the monetary system in Ming Dynasty,and many scholars have studied the causes of the silvering of money in Ming Dynasty according to relevant materials.They have formed three main views: one is to emphasize the promotion of financial system;the other is to emphasize the demand of market development;the third is to emphasize the disorder of the currency system.In addition to these views,there are also scholars who believe that the money supply system and the needs of the market together created the currency transformation of the Ming Dynasty.From the previous scholars' research,we can see that the view of silver currency in Ming Dynasty has been generally accepted by the academic community,but whether silver is widely used in the folk as scholars' research remains to be studied.In the middle and later period of Ming Dynasty,with the development of commodity economy and the prosperity of citizen culture,a large number of novels reflecting real life were formed,and some of the sketches also vividly reflected the social life at that time.Therefore,taking the novels of Ming Dynasty as the main reference,based on the social political and economic system at that time,the actual circulation of silver in the novels was investigated in the middle and later period of Ming Dynasty Silvering of currency in the period.This paper takes the folk silver circulation as the breakthrough point,uses the theory of the middle time period to limit the time in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.First,it uses the historical philology method to explore the national level monetary policy in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.Then,through comparative analysis,empirical analysis and other methods,it studies the silver in the novel in many aspects,such as business activities,daily life,special occasion,national taxes,legal system and so on.In addition,the paper compares silver with Ming Dynasty's popular Ming Dynasty banknotes and copper coins,analyzes the purchasing power of silver at that time and its popularity among the people,as well as the supplementary explanation of the previous argument.Finally,it further demonstrates the middle and late Ming Dynasty's general situation through the use of silver in the folk circulation Silver currency has been realized.This paper focuses on the circulation of folk silver,so it uses a large number of world novels as a reference,but at the same time,it pays attention to the mutual confirmation with the note novels and the official history materials,in order to restore the facts as much as possible.
