The diversified development of postmodernism art since 1960 s has laid a foundation for the popular development of contemporary art and the capricious changes of art forms.Throughout the changes in art since the 20 th century,the form of artistic creation has been driven by the development of digital technology.With the rapid development of computer and Internet,people's life style,aesthetic level and viewing mode have changed greatly,and the scope of "image" in the traditional sense has been further expanded.After the generation of digital art and generative art,the generation of images is not only the product obtained by photography,but also can be produced in binary system with "bits" between 0and 1 under the support of digital technology.The images can be produced by precise calculations made by software under the control of computer technology.This method of image generation gives artists new angles and ways of creation,brings more possibilities and abundant creation materials to artistic creation,and maximizes subjective initiative with technical support.For the viewer,the new presentation of the work brings new viewing experience and feelings.In contemporary art,more and more artists are using digital images to create their own art.The development of computer technology also makes creation more and more convenient.For example,the emergence and development of i Pad and other tablet computers,all kinds of painting software and video production software make artists have more new ways to try to create images.In addition,due to its convenience,the recording and sorting of creative ideas can get a more timely image feedback.From using technology to now focusing on multi-sensory stimulation to immersive experience in combination with 3D technology,the connotation and aesthetics of virtual images are continuously expanding.The experience of reading pictures makes the viewers' aesthetic system more and more diversified with the development of network virtual technology,which promotes the diversified development of contemporary painting.Combining digital images with traditional paintings is a creative trend nowadays.The discussion consists of four chapters.The first chapter,based on the background of digital technology in the field of painting under the development of science and technology,sorts out the literature and explains the research status and significance of its practice in contemporary art.The second chapter analyzes the interaction between technology and art in the generation of virtual images,sorting out the unique language features of image painting based on digital technology and its plural and transmissibility features.The working methods and ideas of artists' creation have been newly inspired.Works from creation to final presentation can be carried out on virtual software,network and social platforms.Through the analysis and research of artists' cases,the generation methods of digital image painting can be studied,and the creative ideas and methods of similar works can be discussed.The third chapter shows how I use digital technology to create ideas and methods,to explain my theory combined with artistic practice and creative intention.On the basis of summarizing the whole thesis,the fourth chapter reflects on and looks forward to the image painting based on digital technology.
